Happy New Year!

|

December 30, 2010

I can't believed that 2010 will be over tomorrow. Well, I am very excited for New Year's to come. It's also time to file our Income Tax Return and pays our Property Taxes. I have lots of reasons to be thankful for: I had a great Christmas Holidays spending time with my family and my husband's sisters. They are the best! My relationship with my husband hasn't change. He still the same person that I met on the dating site until now and I'm very happy about it. I think I'm doing a pretty good job of being a mother to my son and a wife to my husband. There are few times when I'm upset about motherhood but my husband is always there to remind me that he's a toddler and that's how they're suppose to do.

What can I say, I'm so lucky to have found my husband and to my very wonderful son. More years to come to our happy marriage and good health for everyone. I just loved the way YOU are and I know how crazy YOU are to ME, hahaha

Happy Holidays

|

December 22, 2010

I woke up early today. Will be visiting my husband's sisters for Christmas but we have to get back home on Christmas Day. I already pack our clothes last night and our presents are ready. We're planning to leave in the afternoon because my husband have practice this morning. I hope we have a nice weather when we travel as it is a very long trip. Anyways, I need to prepare our breakfast while Charles is asleep so when he gets up the food is ready. Merry Christmas everyone!

Old Fashioned Way

|

December 15, 2010

When I was in the Philippines, my mother uses Herbal medication when we were sick. Since I'm not been feeling very well lately, I tried to use Tiger Balm. I put the Tiger Balm on my forehead and just found out that it burned a little on me and my forehead looks red. I always use Tiger Balm when I was in the Philippines and it didn't burn on me. I guess my husband is right that I'm a hard headed type of person. He already warned me not to put Tiger Balm but I still did it. Well, it's really cold outside now. I don't feel like going outside but I have to; I need to get my food for a couple of days since my husband will be gone for Wrestling Tournament.

Been Sick Lately

|

December 12, 2010

It's been few days that I hadn't post my blog for this site. I wasn't that busy. I've been sick lately throwing up and always got a headache. We already went to the Doctor the other day. The Doctor gave sleeping pills as I couldn't sleep at all. Maybe it was the reason why I always got my headache. I also have medicine for migraine. Anyway, Charles and his dad are asleep. We will go to Walmart to buy our grocery for the weekend.

Does Flu shot really prevent from Flu?

|

December 08, 2010

My husband bought his phone charger few months ago and now it's not working. Luckily, when he went to AT&T store yesterday they said that they can replace the phone charger with a new one. I am happy about it. Being computerized of every purchases you have gets some privileged like having a new charger instead of buying a new one. Well, I went to the Doctor yesterday. Charles and I got our flu shot but I don't think flu shot can prevent us from having a flu. My shot is still sore. I don't know why? My body is aching and I felt like I'll be sick. I also throw up last night and it was very sour.

Christmas Cards

|

December 06, 2010

I'll be busy later today. I need to write Christmas Cards that we're going to send to our family and friends. Print out already for the return addresses. I'm really excited for this Christmas. Though we only have few days to spend time with my husband's sisters. Will go back home on Christmas Day. My husband has a Wrestling practice for the Holiday Tournament in Springfield, Missouri. Anyway, I'll get off in here now as I need to start writing on the Christmas Cards that we're going to send.

2nd Place at Wrestling Tournament

|

December 04, 2010

It's almost midnight in here. Charles and I are still awake. My husband is on the way home with his Wrestlers. They had a Wrestling Tournament today in Little Rock Central. According to my husband they were in 2nd Place out of 16 Schools who participated on the Tournament. I'm very happy for him. It's his first time to Coach Wrestling at Heritage High School. I know he still have lots of things to work on with the kids as the Head Wrestling Coach. Well, better get off in here now. I need to change Charles clothes and brush our teeth before we go to bed.

Excited over Top Chef All-Stars

|

December 01, 2010

I loved watching Top Chef All-Stars. It was very interesting. Though, it was kinda sad for the Chef that goes home right away. But I don't think Elia did a pretty good job on her dish that makes her go home. I can't wait for the next show of Top Chef All-Stars. Well, I had a pretty good day today. We already put up our Christmas Tree the other day but the we put up the ornaments last night. Charles kept messing on the ornaments but I'll make sure he will put it back.

Three Years Living in the USA

|

November 30, 2010

We're driving on our way to Manna Oriental Market when I remember about my 3rd Anniversary when I came here in the US. It was November 27, 2007 when Doug picked me up at the Airport in Kansas City. And it's been 3 years now that I hadn't seen my family in the Philippines. I can talk to them on messenger and over the phone but it still different. I really miss my family and friends, foods that we eat most of the time. My husband and I are planning to visit in the Philippines next year. But, on my experience with Charles when we travel, he doesn't wanna sit on his car sit for a very long hours so we need to stop and take him for a walk. Usually, we drive for 4-6 hours when we visit with my husband's sister's so it's a long drive.

How much more when we go home in the Philippines? It's a very long flight so we need to sit for a very hours too and it's hard for sure when I have a toddler. If we can't go home in the Philippines next year, I guess I'll just wait when Charles is a little older so he can understand what is all about. Anyway, it makes me excited knowing that we might go home or not in the Philippines.

It's Dark and Raining!

|

November 29, 2010

It's been few days that I hadn't post my blog on this site. Well, we just got back home from Thanksgiving the other day. I had lots of things to do in the house and I got a headache lately. When my husband gets home after his work we will put up our Christmas Tree. I'm very excited about it. Charles got another ornament from his aunts so I will let him put it on our Tree. Anyway, it's been raining outside so I had to turn up our heater. I really don't like when it keeps on raining. It's dark outside plus, I felt like it's very lonely inside the house. It's only Charles and I in here so it's very quite.

My Favorite Blanket

|

November 24, 2010

I got up early today. I need to put up my blanket on the washer so I can take it with me in Kansas City. I really love my Blanket. Well, I slept good last night. I took sleeping pills but every time I took sleeping pills my body is sore the next day. Anyway, my son is still asleep right now. I will have to prepare his breakfast before he wakes up. Will be visiting my sister-in-law Connie for Thanksgiving. My husband's 2 other sisters are coming tomorrow for Thanksgiving and will go shopping.

Jennifer Grey, You're my DWTS Champion

|

November 23, 2010

Tonight, the winner of DWTS Champion will be revealed. As I watched last night, Jennifer and Derek got the perfect scores from the judges. For me they are the couple that will gonna win tonight and take the Mirror Ball Trophy but maybe they'll be screwed on the voting system. It's been on the news that Tea Party members are behind Bristol Palin's vote that's why she's still on the competition. I hope the judges won't be affected by this voting system and pick the right winner for DWTS Champion. If the judges will pick Bristol Palin and Mark for sure a lot of viewers will be shock and affected by their decisions.

Great Deals to go Shopping

|

November 22, 2010

It's been few days that I hadn't post my blog on this site. I was kinda lazy and just want to spend my time with Charles and my husband. I am really excited for Thanksgiving. My husband's sisters are coming to Kansas City and will go shopping the next day. It's good to shop here in the US. You can find great deals almost on everything. Discounts up to 85% off plus if you have in-store coupons would be a very great deals to shop. Feels like you get the items for free.

Well, better get off in here now. I'll just do my blog hopping later in the afternoon. Charles wants to be held and I need to give his bath. He already smells like urine LOL. I hadn't change his diaper since we got up this morning. At least we're already done eating our breakfast that's why I'm checking on my blogs.

Oprah! You're the Best

|

November 19, 2010

Just done watching Oprah The Farewell Season. Wow! All the studio audience are very lucky to be there and be part of Oprah's Ultimate Favorite Things. I might say, all the things that she gave on the audience are fabulous! How I wish to be part of the show and watch her on national TV. Isn't it wonderful? And one of my favorite group was there "The Black Eyed Peas" and they sung Christmas Songs which makes me very excited about Christmas. My son was asleep on the couch. I'm pretty much sure when he's awake he'll keep on dancing with the music. I'm just so excited for this Christmas. We'll be visiting my husband's sister. But before Christmas, we will to Kansas City for Thanksgiving.

Lots of Kids

|

November 17, 2010

We went to Hibachi Grill last night. The couple sitting behind us has 5 kids. I don't know her age but I think we're on the same age or she is younger than me. As for me, aside from the shows 19 Kids and Counting and Kate Plus Eight before, and the Octomom it was a bunch of kids for me. I'm not judging the couple of having a lot of kids. I guess if they are making pretty good money and have a stable job why not have kids? But my point of view was it looks like the kids was born every year while the other are still very young. And I don't think you can take good care all of your kids when they have different needs from each other. One kid fell from the high chair and she kept on crying. I felt sorry about it.

On my situation right now, I'm not yet ready to have another baby. I want to enjoy my son growing up. Teach him to do the right things and live each day with full of happiness. He's my terrible two's right now. It's okay I'm loving it!

Does Manny Pacquiao will gonna win tonight?

|

November 13, 2010

Tonight is the fight between Manny Pacman Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito. I am not really into boxing but as a Filipino I'm really to be proud of Manny Pacquiao. My husband really likes Manny Pacquiao. He thinks he is a very good fighter. But tonight my husband has some fears. Antonio Margarito is much taller and heavier than Manny. I hope Manny will gonna win tonight.

Read first before posting

|

November 10, 2010

Last night, my husband was reading on my blogs. He made some corrections on my posts. I felt embarrassed as I have no idea that I was using a wrong grammar. Besides, every time I will type my posts I don't read it first before posting. Sometimes, I'm in a hurry especially when my son is sitting on my lap or when he is on the living room by himself. Even before, I've already told my husband to correct me when my grammar isn't right. But according to my sister-in-law, it's rude to correct someone's language.

A very long Day

|

November 07, 2010

Today seems like the day is longer than normal. We ate our dinner around 6 o'clock so I felt like I need to eat again. Well, I already cooked my food for tomorrow so I don't have to get up so early. Besides, it's getting cold even though we already turned on the heater. We had a pretty good day so far. My husband's favorite Football Team The Oakland Raiders won the game tonight. I also got a chance to watched 60 Minutes wherein they featured Manny Pacman Pacquiao. I can't wait to watch Boxing this Saturday. It will be at the Dallas Cowboy Stadium. For sure lots of people will watch in the Philippines.

It's Cold Out

|

November 05, 2010

We just got back home from grocery shopping. I didn't make any lists before we went to Walmart. Just found out that we still have lots of food to get. I will just let my husband go back again maybe tomorrow or the next day. Well, it was kinda chilly out tonight. I already wore my winter coat but I still gets cold. I'd rather be inside the house and covered up with my favorite blanket than go anywhere. How much more when there's snow outside?

Outdated on Facebook

|

November 03, 2010

I was on Facebook today, I had one friend online so I said hi to her. I had no idea that my picture will appear on the chatbox. It's been a while that I hadn't used Facebook. I felt like I was outdated on these great features that they have. I stopped using Facebook because when I tried to upload pictures they doubled the numbers of the pictures that I was uploading. To me it was very irritating so I stopped using. Besides, there people will just post nonsense text on the wall. I don't know, I am not into social networking type of person.

I had a Pretty Good Day

|

November 01, 2010

When Charles woke up this morning he said right away, "I want Crayon". I laughed at him, because it was the thing that he kept asking from me the other night. I thought he will forget but he didn't. Besides, I'm not yet ready to get from bed. I'm very much comfortable that Charles sleep on our bed. The other night, I put him on his bed and he slept for 6 hours straight. This weekend, I will let him sleep again on his bed so he will get used to it. I know it's hard for me if Charles will not sleep on our bed anymore. Since he was four months old, I started to let him sleep on our bed. Besides, I like to open up my eyes and Charles is laying down beside me. I loved to looked at him when he's asleep. I just loved being around him all the time.

Charles and I 3rd Halloween

|

October 31, 2010

I had a pretty good day today. Charles loved his Trick or Treating. He looked so cute on his costume. Though he cried at first when I tried to put it on him. He got some pretty good candies though I won't let him eat all of them. Then we handed out candies to the kids who stopped by on the house. Charles was very excited every time he heard the doorbell rang. Oh my god! Charles wore again his costumes. I loved Halloween this would be my 3rd Halloween here in the USA. Well, I'm looking forward for Thanksgiving. We'll be in Kansas City and my other sister-in-law's are coming also.

I might have a Migraine

|

October 27, 2010

This fast few days, I've been suffering from headaches and throwing up lately. When I talked with my sister-in-law Cheryl she thinks that I might have a migraine. When I have this headache, I felt like somebody is pulling my hair and it's only on my right side of my head. It gets me dizzy when I stay for a couple hours on the computer. I stop working on my cross-stitch pattern which is Rocky Mountains. It gets me excited when I think about my cross-stitch but I have to rest my eyes how this works on me for a while.

Halloween is this week so I don't wanna get sick again just like yesterday. I don't want to ruin Charles Halloween Trick or Treating. Hope he will enjoy!

My Li'l Pirate

|

October 25, 2010

We went to Halloween Express to check out on their Halloween costume. I was shocked when I saw the prices of their costumes. It was around 40 bucks which I think too expensive for a costume. I'm not a tightwad, I just finding ways to save money. I told my husband to go to Party City. When we were at Party City, they don't have the Spider Man costume that my husband and I really like for Charles. So we end up getting him A Pirate Costume. It comes with a hat, and I don't think Charles will gonna wear it. A red scarf to put around his head and a shoe cover that looks like a boots. Charles looked so cute when we tried to put on the costumes on him. I'm just hoping that he will gonna like to wear his costume during Halloween.

I decided not to get a costume for me. We're on a hurry last Saturday because my husband has a Football Game to watch between Missouri Tigers and Oklahoma State. By the way, it was a very good game. Also yesterday, my husband's favorite NFL Team Oakland Raiders had the highest scores since I started watching Football. Though, my husband's Fantasy Football he didn't pay attention on the players that he set up for this week. Some of the players are injured so he didn't scored very well.

Feeling Better

|

October 21, 2010

I'm glad that I'm feeling much better today. So far, I'm not dizzy while I'm using on the computer right now. Well, we went out to eat to last night at Abuelos Mexican Restaurant. The place was wonderful. I like their interior designs. The service was excellent. Though, I hadn't enjoyed much on my food. Charles was jumping and he wants to go under the table. He doesn't want to use his dad's phone so he can play Hockey. It's difficult to eat now at the restaurant when Charles doesn't wanna sit straight and wants to move around.

Looking forward to my custom domain

|

October 17, 2010

I've been having headache's lately. Last night, was really bad even though I had already taken my medicine. Felt like my headache won't go away. Well, I had my custom domain for my other blog yesterday. It says it will take 3 days before it will be available on the internet. I'm just curious as I don't want to have www on my site. I hope everything will gonna be okey. As I have no idea how to fix when something's wrong with my new domain.

Got my web host through Blogger, just paid $10 for my custom domain and it's good for 1 year. Also worried as I have few tasks that was already posted on this blog My Life living here in the USA.

Planning some Changes

|

October 15, 2010

It's been few days that I hadn't post my blog for this site. I wasn't that busy I just decided not to type anything. Well, I'm happy that I got my google rank on the paying sites that I joined few months ago. But when I tried to check my PR so I can put it on my site it still unavailable. Also, my alexa rank seems to be higher than before. Anyway, at least there's a task available to me now. I'm also planning of getting my own web host provider. I have no idea how these things really works. I want to have my own domain.

Noticed that blogspot.com is excluded on the featured tasks on their site. I really need your opinion. A friend of mine Rosemarie referred somebody about web hosting. I sent a short message on her over ym but haven't heard anything back from her. If anyone can refer to me about web hosting will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Charles knows what he wants

|

October 08, 2010

We had a great time last night. We ate at Hibachi Buffet and Grill. Charles ate all his ice cream. It's funny every time he will say "I want ice cream and cake". My baby is a big boy now. He knows what he wants to eat. This morning when I asked him what he's going to eat for breakfast he said "I want sticks", meaning he wants to eat chocolate wafer sticks that I bought at the Asian Store. It's almost out so I will get another jar of chocolate wafer sticks. Am glad he likes it.

Are You Having Problems with Blogger Site?

|

October 07, 2010

Lately, I noticed that I'm having problems with Blogger. Every time I will sign out my account, I always get this message "Service Unavailable" or "Not Found Error 404". Also, it takes time to load on their web page. I don't think it's my computer why it taking so slow to load on their site. I tried to open other web page and it opened so quickly.

Babies Documentary

|

October 05, 2010

My husband and I watched Babies Documentary on DVD. Filmmaker Thomas Balmes charts the simultaneous early development of four babies from different parts of the world, illustrating what makes human life unique, similar and precious wherever it occurs. As what I've seen on the movie, I'm very proud to say that I did a pretty good job in taking care of Charles. From newborn until now. As I remember, he didn't take his bath once when he had his first immunization. I was scared maybe he can have a fever by then. That's how we do things in the Philippines when your kid has a shot. Charles love to take his bath everyday sometimes at night before he goes to bed.

My Insights

|

October 04, 2010

I'm glad how Technology was developed like Computers. Being a part a part of social network like Facebook, gives me the opportunity to meet my old friends and classmates. But sometimes it's very irritating when you visit the website. You can see on your home page some of your friends will post nonsense topic on the wall. I think we should use the site more carefully. It's amazing when I see the pictures of my old friends how they changed in years. I

guess I'm the only one who doesn't change personally. Most of my friends uses make up but I don't think it fits on their face perfectly. Putting too much make up on your face seems like you're hiding the real YOU.

October Feast

|

October 01, 2010

Time flies by. I can't believed that it's already October 1st. Since last month, I've been thinking already where am I going to put our Christmas Tree. Already found the spot on the living room but I'm thinking I will just put up our Christmas Tree by December. Unlike in the Philippines, for sure Christmas Decorations are already setup last month. Besides, Halloween will comes first before Christmas. I never decorate for Halloween. I just loved looking other people's house how they decorate for Halloween.

Last year, when we put up our Christmas Tree, Charles kept on getting the Christmas Gifts that was under the Tree. He also like to get the Ornaments. I'm scared though maybe he will try to eat the hook of the Ornaments. I really like our Christmas Tree. It has a fiber optic lights and it's very pretty it's turned on.

Spider Man for Halloween Costume

|

September 29, 2010

I can't believed that September is almost over. Well, my husband and I are so excited for Halloween. We already agreed what kind of costume we're going to buy for Charles. Last year, he had a Dinosaur costume which Charles wore during Halloween. At this time, we picked Spider. He loves Spider Man since he watched the Movie the other night. He doesn't want to take off his Spider Man slippers even when we're already in bed. Just got it off when he was asleep.

Well, Charles wants me to put his shoes on. It's already bedtime in here. I will just put a picture soon as we buy the costume.

What's Wrong with my Ads?

|

September 25, 2010

I have no idea what's wrong with my Bidvertiser Ads. Every time I signed into my blogger account, it has no display so I have to click "save" again for a couple times. Well, I'm looking forward to watch Football at the stadium between Colorado State and Missouri Tigers. My husband already bought the ticket online. I'm thinking of what am I going to wear. I don't have Missouri Tigers T-shirt or a Sweat Shirt. I have no idea what's the weather would be like on October 9th.

Earlier today, the game between Kansas State and Central Florida was suspended to due lightning and the clouds was very thick. I just don't like to watch the game when it's raining but my husband would love it.

Changing Layouts

|

September 24, 2010

I've been busy this afternoon changing layouts for this blog. When I was done, I went to the living room to checked Charles. He got my purse from the table and got my wallet out. He pointed on the trash can and when I looked at it, I saw the $10 bill in there. He also got out my ATM Cards, Visa Cards and other papers that was inside my wallet. Yeah, I have my terrible two's now. Sometimes, it makes me think of just staying in the house other than going to some other place. When we're eating out he doesn't want to sit on the high chair so we always end up sitting on the booth. Which is fine with me but Charles will go under the table and he can still run away from us.

Charles 2nd Birthday

|

September 21, 2010

Today is my son's 2nd birthday. He was so excited when I changed his clothes. I think he knew that it's a especial day for him. My husband bought ice cream cake at Dairy Queen and Charles loved it. He likes to opened up his presents but when he saw the truck he started playing with it. My husband had to bribed him with the Lightning McQueen car so he will opened up his other presents.

We ate at Joe's Italian Restaurant and Grill. Charles doesn't want to eat. He kept playing his dad's cellphone and wants to run around the place. We really had a great day today.

Shopping Time

|

September 18, 2010

We just got back home from shopping. We bought Charles presents for his birthday. He loves cars so his dad bought him a bigger lightning McQueen car and Hot Wheels Car. He also got a book and Wow Wow Wubbzy DVD. I will wrap his presents tomorrow so he can open it up on his birthday. My in-laws couldn't come for his birthday. We'll just buy him a small cake. Hope my sister-in-law Janie will feel better so they can come next time. I already cooked my food for a couple of days. It was pork adobo and I put sugar so it would be a little sweet. Anyway, it's getting late now. I have to do some things before I go to bed. I knew it's been few days that I hadn't post my blog for this site. I'm just getting lazy, maybe next time I can do my blog hopping so I can earn my PR hopefully.

Will be busy

|

September 14, 2010

I had to woke up early today. My in-laws are coming for Charles birthday celebration on Saturday. I already cleaned the house but I need to vacuum again before they arrive this Friday. I'm really excited for Charles birthday. He will be two years old on the 21st but he's still my baby. I can't believed time already passed by. I want to enjoy my time as a mom while he's still a child. I understand more him better now than I did before. I might say, I'm doing pretty good to be his mom. I know nobody is perfect but I'm trying to be that perfect for my son. We're just happy to be part of his life.

Oprah's Farewell Season

|

September 13, 2010

I had a pretty good day today. I had watched Oprah's Farewell Season. I had a teary eyes while I was watching. I am very emotional when I saw people cry. That's why I don't like to watch drama. Anyway, I was busy doing my blog hopping today. I noticed that my internet connection is getting so slower than before. I don't think we're getting the good service that we're paying for right now. But every time I will tell my husband about our internet service, he would always says; it's faster than what we had before. Well, the it's been raining all day and it was very dark outside. The temperature is getting cooler.

Park and Shop Around

|

September 11, 2010

We really had a pretty good day today. We took Charles to the park and we went shopping. Though, my sister-in-law Cheryl and Connie called us about their Uncle Edmond is in critical condition right now on his Lung Cancer. The doctors said that he won't gonna make it within this week. Yeah it was kinda sad. Maybe my sister-in-law's won't come for Charles birthday celebration this Saturday. If there's something happens to their uncle we will go there with my sister-in-law and stay for a couple nights. I wish everything would turn into miracle so everybody will be happy. Well, I kinda have headache tonight since we got back home. I already took medicine so I'm here typing with this blog.

Rainy Days

|

September 09, 2010

I've been doing my blog hopping today and noticed my bidvertiser ads has no display. Not only today it has no display but also this couple of days so I have to click save again. I have no idea what's the problem or maybe it's the way it is. Anyway, it looks gloomy outside. It's been raining for a couple of days now and it's getting cooler outside. My husband kept asking on me that we need to go to the park. I'd love to go to the park but I don't like when it's raining. He thinks it fun when Charles will play on the rain. I don't want to get him sick so for now, I don't wanna go in there. We'll just wait when it's sunny outside.

3 Ways To Boost Your Kid's Confidence

|

September 06, 2010

1. Push him to take on Challenges. If your son is doing well at art, for instance, don't settle for the same old art class. Enroll him in one that's more advanced. "Parents often fall into the trap of not wanting their kids to be uncomfortable," says Susan Bartell, PsyD, author of Top 50 Questions Kids Ask. "That tells them that you don't think they can do it." Kids need to push the boundaries. If they don't succeed at one thing, they'll excel at another.

2. Teach him to observe and then blend in. "Many children feel a lack of confidence when joining a group," says Ellen Kennedy-Moore, PhD, author of Smart Parenting for Smart Kids. And for good reason: Kids who barge in create resentment, so teach yours how to watch what other kids are doing and then slide in without interrupting. For example, it's usually not a good idea to ask, "Can I play?" It stops the action and tempts some kids to say, "No." Instead, coach your child to catch your catch the ball when it rolls off and toss it back. "Now he's more in the game because he's kept the action moving."

3. Praise Less. Rather than always saying you're proud when your child does well, ask "Aren't you proud of yourself?" says Susan Fletcher, PhD, author of Parenting in the Smart Zone. Then ask what he did to be successful. "Getting kids to talk about their abilities ups confidence," say Dr. Fletcher.

County Fair

|

September 04, 2010

We went to the County Fair last night. I really enjoyed it. My son was having fun at the fair but he kept eating on Chocolate Wafer Stick. I rode on the Carousel, Tea Cup which makes me dizzy. Charles couldn't enjoy all of the rides that was in there. There was a height requirements of 36" tall and Charles is only 33" for now. For sure, next year when they have rides again Charles will gonna enjoy it more.

Watch High School Football

|

September 02, 2010

We're going to watch High School Football tonight at the Razorbacks Stadium. The kick off is eight o'clock. I hope it won't rain tonight despite the weather forecasts says it's 80 percent chances of rain and severe thunderstorms. Charles and I ready, we're just waiting for my husband to get done recruiting on his video game which is Football. I was so lazy today. It's been few days now that I hadn't post my blog for this site.

But, now I'm here typing as I have nothing to do while we are waiting. I hope the Heritage High School Football will gonna win tonight. It's the school wherein my husband teach.

Afraid of Being Sick

|

August 29, 2010

I thought I'll be sick today. This fast few days I noticed that my body was sore and I've been sneezing lately. But anyhow, I've got a task the other day but the link is not working. Hopefully, tomorrow they will reply on my email that I had sent tonight. I don't want to decline the task as it was already posted on my other blog. Besides, it's been too long that I hadn't get a task.

Sports Recognition

|

August 27, 2010

I really have a good day today. We just got back home from Sports Recognition at Heritage High School and eating outside. It wasn't that big celebration during the Sports Recognition. I was just curious on what they did so we stayed till it was over.

Also, I didn't expected to have tasks tonight. It took me few minutes to get it done because my son was sitting on my lap while I was typing on the computer. It's almost midnight in here so I'd better get off in here for now. I have things to get done before I go to bed.

Changing Layouts

|

August 25, 2010

I've been changing the layout on this blog today. There are some things that needs to be done like having borders for every posts and text alignment. I don't know how to edit on my Html so I will just leave it alone for now. So far, I like the layout that I had chosen. Also, I got the chance of visiting other blogs. I had a pretty good day today. My son is asleep right now so I'm here again on the computer typing with my posts.

I messed up Charles tank

|

August 23, 2010

Yesterday, I fed my son's fish. I put too much food inside the tank, I had no idea. Now, the tank smells fishy and it needs to be clean and change the water. I don't know how to take care an aquarium so my husband would take care of it. My son likes his goldfish. Before we go to bed at night he would say "bye guys", to them. It's funny every time I heard it from Charles. Nothing's new on my blog. Lazy to do blog hopping maybe next time around.

Charles Aquarium

|

August 21, 2010

We bought Charles gold fish and algae eater for his new aquarium. He was excited when he saw the fishes at Petsmart. Then we had our dinner at P.F. Chang's China Bistro. My husband and I really like the place. They had excellent service and the food tasted really good. Also we went to Borders. My husband got his new book. We took Charles into the kid's section wherein they have play area. When we're about to leave he cried as he doesn't wants to go.

We really had a good day today. We didn't get a chance to go shopping as we don't have much time. Maybe tomorrow we can go shopping before we buy our groceries.

2 Words Bye Guys

|

August 19, 2010

We were eating our supper tonight. My son got excited when he saw his dad's plate. Charles was saying "fries". I was laughing because we don't have fries on the plate. We only had crescent rolls and porkchop. I guess it looked like fries to Charles when he saw it on the plate. Tonight, Charles got his back pack and I put it on his back. He drove his Lightning McQueen car and waved on us and said bye guys. It feels great every time he has new words from his mouth.

I am excited for his birthday next month. Hopefully, he will like opening his presents from his aunts.

Updated my Linkin Park

|

August 17, 2010

I'm glad I had updated my Linkin Park today. Fellow bloggers can find their blogs easily on my webpage. Anyway, we just moved this place last Saturday. We got our new internet connection and I don't think it's the fastest internet connection that we ever had. For sure, my husband is paying too much for this service.

Better get off in here right now. My son is crying for sure it's his teeth.

Rod is too short

|

August 15, 2010

I am irritated tonight. The shower rod that I bought last week was too short for our bathroom. I can't return the item as I already thrown out the plastic wrap around the item. I still have the receipt but I think it's still useless. Maybe next time when we go to the store I will get one and make sure to measure our bathroom first. The shower curtain are already put together with the shower liner.

Well, it's feels good to felt the raindrop tonight. It's been few months now that we hadn't rain in here. I think this week will be cooler.

Getting hotter

|

August 13, 2010

We went to the Asian store today. They only have few goods from the Philippines. I bought galungong fish which I cooked as Paksiw tonight. I am excited for my breakfast tomorrow. Well, last night was the NFL Preseason Football. I didn't finished watching the game. My husband was so happy about his team which is the Oakland Raiders despite losing games last year.

Anyway, it's getting hotter in here every day. Charles has a fever tonight and has diarrhea. I am happy that he ate the whole banana and the medicine that we put inside he didn't recognized it.

Back on Regular Cable Provider

|

August 11, 2010

I am looking forward for tomorrow. Our satellite will be install and it feels good to be back on watching regular shows that I really like. I hope it won't mess up on our internet connection. Just like the previous problem that we had. When they installed our directv we lost our internet connection. Hopefully, everything will turn out pretty good.

Can't wait for tomorrow. Bye for now.

Heat Wave

|

August 10, 2010

I'm on a bad mood today. My husband was driving around to see what's really like on this city. He was messing up on his phone trying to find University of Arkansas. First, I am not interested how the school like; it was very hot even we're inside the car and the AC was running. I just hate when he kept on repeating about the weather in the Philippines. When I was in the Philippines, when it was so hot outside I just stay inside the house or whenever I will go somewhere else I always have umbrella with me.

Anyway, it was very hot today. The temperature rose up to 103 and there are people that has been taken to the hospital.

A Long Day

|

August 09, 2010

I am so tired right now. I had to put our things on the closet by myself. My husband had to go to school for his job. It was a very long day for me. Nothing to watch on TV, we can have our satellite install by Thursday. At least, our internet connection was just installed tonight. Anyway, I will get off in here now as I'm doing laundry also while I'm typing my post.

Early Bird

|

August 06, 2010

Charles woke up at 5 this morning and he was crying. I think it was his teeth or maybe he had stomach upset. I put orajel on his mouth and after thirty minutes or so he went back to sleep. I feel sad whenever he's in pain. He couldn't tell me what's wrong with him inside his body.

We also had his hair cut today but he doesn't like to wore the cape around his body. His hair was all over his shirt and he doesn't like either when it was on his skin. And he doesn't like driving on the jeep also.

My blog still unranked

|

August 04, 2010

I declined a tasks tonight. The advertiser is looking for high quality blogs with pagerank 3+. Even rank one I don't have it. The payout was ten dollars and I liked it. I hope I can get tasks which doesn't require higher pagerank. I don't know why I still couldn't get my pagerank even I'm visiting other people's blogs.

I hope next year I can have pagerank on my blogs so I can get tasks.

My cross-stitched

|

August 03, 2010

I am happy that I was done on my cross-stitched pattern. I already put it on the frame and I'm starting a new pattern today. Hopefully, this will turn out pretty good. As I'm not good in doing half stitch.

Charles is singing

|

August 02, 2010

My husband and I was so happy when we heard Charles singing with his guitar. He has his own words but it makes us laughed. Charles likes to sing and dance. I am very proud of him to be his mom. I can't believed that he will be two years old this September. We will let him choose his theme for his birthday party. He likes to pick things when we we're at the store. I'm sure he will gonna love it.

Still Blogging

|

August 01, 2010

I can't believed that I've been blogging for a couple of months now. Still, I don't have my pagerank. Before I type this post, I visited other blogs mostly here in the US. I noticed on their blogs they don't have a c-box wherein I can leave a message. I just typed my message on the comments section of their blogs.

I guess when I'm not lazy anymore I will try to visit other blogs again. For now, I will try to take a nap before we go to the pool.

Hate Unwanted Calls

|

July 29, 2010

My cellphone woke me up this morning. When I answered the phone it was a telemarketer. She was asking about my recent visit at the bank last week. She was conducting a survey how they treat me when I was at the bank to open my account. I really hate unwanted calls especially early in the morning. I'll always kept telling myself not to answer phone calls when the number isn't registered on my cellphone. I thought it was my friend but it wasn't.

Next time, I will never answer my phone anymore. If the person really wants to talk to me, he or she can leave a message on my voicemail.

My Husband got a new Job

|

July 28, 2010

This fast few months I was worried about my husband being axed from his job. Several States are cutting school's budget funds. He applied several schools online and some of them had his interview. Every time there's a letter for my husband from the school that he applied telling him that the position has already been filled makes me sad. Last week, he got a call from the Principal in Rogers, Arkansas. The Principal wants my husband to have his final interview and bring two valid identification ID's.

I was happy that he got his dream job to teach High School Social Studies and Head Wrestling Coach. I know it will be sad leaving my sister-in-law but we have to. We will move to Rogers, Arkansas this August 6 or 7. I have no idea how the place looks like but according to my husband it's in the top ten of the Best Places to live in the Country.

Charles at the Pool

|

July 26, 2010

We just got back home from swimming. My son really likes the water. He enjoyed his swimming with his aunt Connie. I'm sure he can learn how to swim on his own. He's not scared when he goes dipper at the pool. Swimming makes you tired. My son is asleep now that's why am here typing with my blogs.

And hopefully my husband will have some good news after his job interview in Arkansas.

Bad Fall

|

July 25, 2010

It's been awhile that I hadn't post my blog for this site. I was busy this fast few days. The other night my son fell off into the gravel and his head was bleeding down into his face. Charles and I was crying when I held him into my arms. My sister-in-law Janie who's an RN said that he is fine. But my other sister-in-law Cheryl was so worried. She wants Charles to get checked and we took Charles to the ER. He was acting fine when we arrived at the hospital.

The doctor said that every thing is okay and no need to worry. He's a terrible two's so he doesn't scared when do things that can hurt him in the end.

Fun Time with Charles

|

July 21, 2010

Today, my son is twenty two months old. We sung a happy birthday song on him and he laughed at it. My husband said "waray manok", at the end. My husband really wants me to teach our son our dialect so when he visits in the Philippines he can speak our dialect. We really had fun today especially when we took him to see the Dinos Unearthed and Union Station in Kansas City.

I will share the pictures tomorrow when I have time to upload. For now, I will watch my son playing on his toys.

My favorite blanket

|

July 20, 2010

We'll be in Kansas City this afternoon. I already packed our things and I already washed my blanket to take with me. I can't lay down in bed without my blanket even when my sister-in-law Connie has lots of blankets for us. I just loved my blanket! It's my favorite blanket since I arrived here in the States. Sometimes my husband would say "I can't snuggle with you anymore as you're always covered up". Even when it's hot I always have my blanket.

Another Cross-Stitched Pattern

|

July 19, 2010

Finally! I started another cross-stitched pattern today. As always, I don't have all the thread that I want to use for the pattern. Luckily, if I can't find the thread that I want to get I have the closest colors for it.

Cross-stitched

|

July 17, 2010

It's been a while that I hadn't type my blogs. I've been doing cross-stitched as one of "things to do lists". Well, I'm almost done on my pattern. I just have to buy another DMC thread as I couldn't find it here in town. It was a precious moments pattern and I really liked it. I'm planning to start another pattern tomorrow and hopefully I can finish it in one day.

Simple Living

|

July 15, 2010

Living here in the United States for a couple of years now, I witnessed how Americans live their everyday life. Like my sister-in-law Connie who is a teacher and her husband Max who works for the IRS. I'm pretty sure they are making a good money for both of them. My sister-in-law won't buy an item for a full price. Even if she can afford to pay for the whole price. She used coupons all the time. She can find good deals at the store whenever she goes shopping and get discounts for the items.

No matter how much money you have and you know you can buy expensive items at the store try to be more cautious. For sure, it will help you in the long run. It can save you money in the future. Living the simplest way of your life makes you happy.

Summer time

|

July 14, 2010

We just got back home from our grocery shopping. It was breezy though it still hot today. Feels good to be here inside the room. We bought a hot wheel car for Charles. My husband and I already agreed that whenever where at the store we need to buy him one car as his collections. For sure, he can get more cars till he grow up. His aunts buy cars for him too.

Feels like I have a headache right now. It just hit me all of a sudden.

I hate when people tell me what to do

|

July 12, 2010

I really hate when other bloggers tell me to click on their "ADS". Let your reader decide if they are really interested on your ads. I have ads too but I hadn't convinced or type other any messages to let other bloggers click on my ads. I just have a bad day today when I read my messages.

Anyway, my son is back from walking with his aunts. It started to rain outside while they are walking. Better get off in here now as he started to crawled up on me.

Scrap booking

|

July 11, 2010

Every time at the store I always go to the crafts section. I am very fascinated of making my own scrap book like pictures or doing cross-stitching. My sister-in-law Cheryl gave me some cross-stitch patterns and thread. But as now, I'm still looking what kind of pattern I am going to make.

Maybe few months from now I can start this kind of hubby aside from blogging. For sure, my son will grow up and he can understand when I'm working on something.

Air Show

|

July 10, 2010

We went to the air show this morning and it was very hot outside. We walked down to looked some of the small planes that was in there. My son likes when the aircraft goes into the runway and ready for take off. And he's still pointing the aircraft even when it's already up in the air.

I took some pictures of the aircraft but I couldn't got a nice shot of Charles wherein he's saying "cheese". He has lots of words for today. He just kept on talking while where driving on the way home.

My son likes the slide

|

July 09, 2010

I had a great time today at the pool. Though, I was a a little bit nervous when I climbed up on the big slide and sled into the pool. The reason was, I don't know how to swim. Charles likes being on the slide. In fact, he was on the slide two times and he was just laughing about it.

I really don't have much to say tonight. I am kinda lazy and don't wanna be here on the computer.

Glad to hear back

|

July 08, 2010

Few days ago, my account on blogsvertise was paid. But I hadn't receive any email that they already transfer the money through my pay pal account. It was only ten dollars but it's a big deal for me of not receiving emails from them. So, I told my husband to sent an email what went wrong. Luckily, one of the staff replied to my questions. I was relieved to hear back from them.

Next time, if I have problems like this I know what am I going to do.

First Day of Swimming Lessons

|

July 06, 2010

We had a great day today. We took Charles for his swimming lessons and he really loved it! He didn't cry when he was at the pool. I am really excited to go back there again tomorrow. Hope it won't rain as I watched on the news tonight, 80 percent chances of rain.

Then, I cooked dinner for tonight. We had pork chop and I put sauteed onions with it. I had rice and my in-laws they had vegetable salad.

Hate Pop-up Windows

|

July 05, 2010

I really hate pop-up windows. I was doing blog hopping and there it was! I couldn't close my blog so I had to shut down my desktop. I knew what's the name of the blog that I had visited so I just want to say sorry as you wouldn't hear anymore messages from me. I won't go back anymore into your site as I really hate it.

I think it would be better to make people's site more enjoyable and no pop-up windows so we have time to read your posts.

Happy 4th of July

|

July 04, 2010

I had a great day today. My husband and I went shopping at JCPenny. We bought some clothes and it was on sale. Then when we arrived home, I cooked beef soup with pechay, peppercorn, ginger and I also added msg on it for my supper. I am glad that my sister-in-law Cheryl tasted my food and she really likes it. This is one of my favorite food to eat when I was in the Philippines.

I am just happy when I the pechay at the China Town Market. I also have sardines hope they taste really good. Later, I think will drive around town to see the fireworks.

Facebook is so slow!

|

July 02, 2010

It's been awhile that I didn't check on my Facebook. While I was browsing today on Facebook, I noticed that the connection is so slow. And when I tried to upload some pictures, it doubled the number of pictures. So I tried again and the result is still the same. I had no idea what went wrong on Facebook. Anyway, I am not really into Facebook, I don't have any farmville to work on.

We'll better get off in here now. I need to change my son's clothes before we go to the rest home to see the fireworks tonight.

Li'l Naughty

|

July 01, 2010

My son is twenty one months old now. He likes do to stuff on his own. He knew what he wants and he cried when he doesn't get what he wants. Last night, he kept biting his dad. He likes to ran outside the house and will go across the street. Every time I'll let him go inside the house he will throw a feet. I don't want him to be a li'l brat so I treat him like how we treat kids in the Philippines. He must learn when I say "no" or "you did a pretty good job Charles".

He knew when I gets mad on him so I will climb up on me and will give me a hug. He just kept on laughing so I would laughed at him also. It's hard being a mom.

What should I do to earn pagerank?

|

June 30, 2010

I've been working really hard on blogs by visiting other people's blogs. But still the blog that I kept working on couldn't generate it's pagerank. What should I do? I really need my pagerank especially on my Beautiful Life blog as I'm getting task wherein the advertiser is requesting the publisher to have pagerank 1 or higher than that.

Any comments would be appreciated about getting my pagerank.

Why my pagerank couldn't generate with my other blogs?

|

June 29, 2010

Every other day I kept on checking about pagerank button if it would generate on my blogs. I noticed the pagerank button on this blog was questioned marked so I tried to generate again. There was a code for this blog has been generated but I'm confused why on this blog? I have two other blogs but none of them generated a code for my pagerank, only for this blog.

I'm also visiting other sites now to see if it can help on my other blog to generate pagerank. I had no idea why I couldn't get ad text for this blog or even a grab bag. Better get off in here now as I'm going to prepare for my son's snack before he wakes up from his nap.

Bad day

|

June 28, 2010

I had a bad day today. The task that I had submitted the other day was rejected by the admin. I couldn't figured out what's the problem on it. I submitted it again for a couple times and it's been rejected again. So, I declined the task. Hopefully, I can get another task on this blog also.

Anyway, we went into the graveyard to see his grandma & grandpa's tomb. Charles likes the horses that was in there.

I'm back!

|

June 27, 2010

Am still tired today. We just moved with my sister-in-law's house. We still have lots of things to open from the boxes. Feels like it was yard sale inside our bedroom though I tried to stock up things with the same boxes. I am happy to live here with my in-law's. They are very nice inside and out just like my husband. Charles is enjoying with his aunts and being around with two puppies.

Better get off in here now as hadn't eat my breakfast yet. I will cook my rice as I hadn't eat rice for a couple of days now. I just loved eating rice.

Family Night Out

|

June 24, 2010

We just got back home from Springfield. I am proud of myself that I can do stuff by myself now. I went to the Post Office and mailed our bills then I asked the Lady about Change of Address Forms. The lady was very nice. Then we went to Buckingham's, I really likes my BBQ. I had half slab of ribs with fries and corn. Though I had to hold Charles while I was eating. He fell asleep in the car. Thanks God! he never woke up till we are done eating.

We also stopped by at the park. As always Charles loved the swing. There was a mom in the park wherein she just kept talking on phone. His son was on the other side of the park without her knowledge. For sure, when she's on the highway she's still talking on the phone while driving.

Saggy crusts

|

June 23, 2010

We had domino's pizza tonight for our supper. I didn't really like what I've ate tonight. The pizza had lots of tomato sauce and few ham as toppings. It was greasy and the crusts was very saggy. When my husband arrived home the pizza was still warm. We've been ordering pizza at domino's for a bunch of times since we lived here but tonight we had a bad one.

My husband already took gas x just in case his stomach will be upset. For sure, I need something to eat before I go to bed later at night. Anyway, I'm so thankful that I've got another task for my blog last night. God has been so good with me. Thanks a lot!

Haven't heard anything

|

June 22, 2010

I've got a text the other day from my friend in the Philippines. She lives in Quezon City. On her text says; that she want's to borrow some money. So my husband and I went to Walmart yesterday to send the money. Since we got back home from Springfield tonight, I called on my friends cellphone a bunch of times to check if she receive the money or not. I am only worried not to hear back from her. I knew it was only a small amount of money at least we helped her on this kind of situation that she's been through right now.

If I can get a text from her within the next day would be great! If not, I don't know if I'll be willing to lend money again for the next time around. Maybe NOT!

Why I couldn't get a task on this blog?

|

June 21, 2010

I submitted these blogs Journey and Beautiful Life to Blogsvertise together and got approved. I have no idea why this blog Journey couldn't get a task or even ad text. As of now I'm working on my pagerank by visiting other people's blogs. I am very happy with my layout though I have problem on my text alignment. I wish somebody can read this post and help me with my problem.

I'm still hoping this blog can get a task.

Lambert's Cafe a busy place

|

June 20, 2010

We just got back home from our dinner tonight at Lambert's Cafe. The place was so busy, we had to wait one hour. It's was kinda hot outside so we decided to get inside. When we were inside it was hot also. When Charles was done eating he started to cry. I'm still eating on my food but we need to get out from the place. It's really hard on his age right now every time we eat outside. He cries when he wants something. He's my terrible two's now. I hope he can get over on it.

Anyway, I'm talking on my messenger tonight. So better get off in here now.

Been busy lately

|

June 19, 2010

It's been few days now that I hadn't post on this blog. I was so busy packing our things. We're moving out next Saturday so I started to packed early. I'm not yet done to pack all of our stuff. When I gets lazy I will stop. And it's hard also when my son wants to cuddle with me. He loves to be with me all the time even when his dad is here. They get along very well but he's a mama's boy.

As of now, he's asleep on our bed so I will be here on the computer till he wakes up. I really wanted to visit other blog so I can increase on my page rank. It's been few months since I started blogging. So better work harder to get what I want.

Lakers, the NBA Champion!

|

June 17, 2010

At first I was a little disappointed when the Lakers are behind during the first, second and third quarter. I told my husband I don't wanna watch the game the Lakers will be lost tonight. My husband encouraged me that the Lakers will gonna come back and will win the game. He's right! It was a terrific job for all the Lakers team who was on the court. I am so happy that I watched the game through the end. I had goose bumps when they presented the trophy and announcing the mvp which Kobe Bryant got for two straight years now.

Anyway, it's almost midnight. My son is still awake and wants to type on the keyboard. Better get off in here now.

Stormy Wednesday

|

June 16, 2010

We had a scary weather today. It was raining out and the wind was wicked. I thought we'll gonna have tornado warning. There was thunderstorm which made me scared of. Some parts of the Ozarks lost its electricity due to wind damage. I hope tomorrow we can have a nice weather and see the sunshine so we can go swimming at the pool.

I really don't have much to say tonight as I am really tired. I kept packing our things so one week before we move every thing is ready.

Got a task

|

June 14, 2010

I was happy when I checked my account this afternoon. I had a grab bag and the good thing is I had to copy and paste from the guest post. It was the requests from the advertiser. Although when I clicked on the link of the guest post there was an error. I'm just hoping that I did it right on my post. The first blog entry that I had has some problem. I didn't click the time so it would be as permanent link. And then when I submitted the task the title of my post wasn't in there.

Hopefully, on my next payment there will not be a problem.

Thinking of adopting a pet?

|

June 13, 2010

Use this checklist to be sure you're ready to take on the responsibility.

You've researched what type of pet will fit into your family.
If you lead a busy life, you probably don't want to get a puppy that needs to be housebroken and walked often. Study breeds online to fine one that matches your lifestyle.

You're prepared to commit. Cats can live 20 years; dogs, 10 to 15 years. Make sure you'll be able to care for your pet its whole life.

You can afford it. Consider the costs of owning a pet-such as food, vet bills (including checkups, illnesses and accidents), spaying or neutering, litter and toys.

You're willing to train a pet. Dogs should learn basic commands, and you might have to teach cats how to use a litter box.

You're OK with pet-proofing your home. You'll need to protect your dog or cat from foods that are harmful to them, such as chocolate, grapes and raisins, and from certain plants, medications and holiday decorations.

Chocolate cravings

|

June 11, 2010

It's been few days now that I didn't go with my husband for our grocery shopping. Sometimes I feel guilty when he gets back home that he bought sweet stuff for him. He's a type 2 diabetic but when he's at the store he will get stuff that is not good for him. When I go with him, if he will try to pick on sweet stuff I will stomp my foot but he thinks it's funny when I do that.

Now, our son is into sweet foods also. I don't want him to be diabetic at an early age. I tried many times not to buy foods that are not healthy for my husband and my son. My husband feels like his pregnant. He has cravings for chocolates which isn't good for him. I often told him that when I was pregnant I wasn't craving for food us much us he did.

Couldn't get back on my visitors

|

June 10, 2010

First of all I want to say sorry to some of my visitors if I couldn't get back on their blogs. There are some user name's that I couldn't click when I tried to visit back. Maybe, they are using names that is different from the display name on blogger. It's been 3 months now that I started blogging so for me I'm still on the whirlwind. At least, I knew how to add links from other blogger and send short messages when I can.

Sometimes when I visit to another blogs I noticed that there are pop-up windows which I really don't like. And teaches you where to click. I am not a dumb ass so lets be fair.

Requests from advertiser to copy and paste?

|

June 09, 2010

I had a grab bag today. The requests from the advertiser was to copy and paste from the guest post that was already typed in there. When I had submitted my task, I didn't include to copy and paste the name of the guest post. So, when I checked my account today, I noticed that I had 2 emails on my inbox. They sent me a noticed that my task was rejected so I had to do it again and submit for approval. And this time, I included the name of the guest post.

I'm sure whoever will read on my blog on my other account can notice that it's not my words that are in there. Sometimes it makes me think that advertising a product is useless if I will just copy and paste from the other blogger if that would be the REQUESTS FROM THE ADVERTISER. What if I'm using a certain product? I'm sure I have something to say good things about it. Only in thoughts....

Getting Lazy

|

June 08, 2010

I really don't have much to say tonight. Just done watching the NBA Finals game 3. I'm glad the Lakers won tonight against the Celtics. There's a Celtics player that I don't really like. His name is Rondo and he kept chewing gum, looked like he's a goat.

Anyway, hope tomorrow that I would feel better so I can visit other blogs.

7 More reasons to have sex

|

June 07, 2010

There are plenty of great reasons to have sex: because it's fun, because you want to feel close to your guy, because it's a sure ticket to a good night's sleep. But there are also significant health benefits to getting it on, according to many years of research, including:

1 a longer life
2 a healthier heart
3 lower blood pressure
4 less risk of breast cancer (and prostate cancer for men)
5 pain relief
6 a slimmer body
7 fewer symptoms of menopause

Stuart Brody, Ph.D., the University of the West of Scotland professor who pored over decades' worth of sex studies, concluded that intercourse delivers the most benefits-but we say any kind of sex that makes you feel good is good news.

Changes on my blog

|

June 06, 2010

Few days ago, I noticed that I don't have my text alignment anymore. Maybe the owner of this layout made up some changes but I don't know how to put it back or made on my own. I guess I will look for another layout sometimes and make some changes on my blogs. I felt sorry for my blog, no designs and my text is kinda boring hahaha.

Facebook drives me crazy!

|

June 05, 2010

Last night when I was uploading pictures on facebook, into my husband's account I really had so much problems. The number of pictures that I was uploading tripled the numbers and when I tried to delete or edit it just took longer to open the web page. This was the second time that I had problems on facebook. When I had uploading pictures also into my account, it says server not found and when I check my profile, the pictures was all in there and it tripled the numbers of pictures that has been uploaded.

Celeriac

|

June 04, 2010

Try this new super food: Grown just for its tasty root (its stems and leaves are usually tossed), this ugly duckling cousin of the celery plant makes a delicious low-cal potato sub. Celeriac, or celery root, in season now, tastes like a cross between celery and parsley. One cup (raw) has 66 calories and 10% of your daily need of blood pressure-lowering potassium and nearly three-quarters of your daily vitamin K requirement.

A small vegetable that is firm, with as few roots as possible. Shred into salads, chop and roast in a bit of olive oil, or boil cubes until tender and puree (on their own or mix into mashed potatoes or turnips).

Trim or peel the outer roots and crevices, which can harbor dirt.

Scan your lotion's label

|

June 03, 2010

Protect your skin by slathering on sunscreen with the right ingredients.
Check for: UVA and UVB protection. Select a sunscreen made with either titanium or zinc dioxide or zinc oxide, which stop UVA and UVB rays from penetrating the skin. Another option is a product that uses chemicals to absorb rays and keep your skin from soaking them up. Such cream contain a UVA blocker (avobenzone, also called Parsol 1789, or ecamsule, also called Mexoryl TM) as well as UVB blocker (oxybenzone or sulisobenzone.

Check for: Water resistance. Buy a lotion that say's it's "very water-resistant." If you go swimming or start to sweat, reapply at least every hour.

Check for: Vitamins C and E. Although the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has not approved these vitamins as active sunscreen ingredients, numerous studies show they can help skin recover from sun damage.

Skimp on fat, not flavor

|

June 02, 2010

Give two of your favorite foods a healthy makeover. Lose weight without feeling like you're depriving yourself with these two smart tips.

Salad dressing: When you’re halfway done with your favorite vinaigrette, fill up the rest of the bottle with balsamic vinegar. You still get the taste of the dressing but with about 30 percent fewer calories.

Soda: Love regular pop but can’t afford the calories? Try adding just a splash of it to your cup and filling up the rest with seltzer. A little goes a long way, and the mixture might soon become your beverage of choice.

My son's hair cut

|

June 01, 2010

We just got back from a memorial day visit with my husband's family. I really had a good time visiting with my in-laws. My sister-in-law Connie took my son Charles to have his hair cut. He really likes it. He was watching Dora the Explorer and driving the hummer. The the next day, we took him at the park wherein there is a fountain. He really loves being on that water. Although at first he was a little bet scared. Better get off in here now. Am really tired.

Mammogram

|

May 30, 2010

WHEN: Although a recent report said mammograms aren't needen for most women younger than 50, other reputable organizations recommend that women 40 and older get the test every one to two years. Women who are at higher than average risk, including those witha a family history of breast cancer, should consider beginning mammographies before age 40.
WHY YOU NEED IT: The test detects changes in women who otherwise have no symptoms or observable breast abnormalities.
HOW IT WORKS: The breasts are compressed between two glass or plastic plates while a technician captures images via X-rays.

Filter Facts

|

May 29, 2010

Get the most out of your purification system. Check the certification. Be sure your filter removes the proper impurities. Buy a filter that has been certified by NSF International or the Water Quality Association, two independent organizations that verify the claims made on such products.
Watch the calendar. Change your filter according to the manufacturer's intructions. Filters lose their effectiveness over time. A carbon filter, for example, acts like a sponge. It's able to absorb contaminants for only so long.
Hook it up. Filfters that attach to a faucet may remove slightly more contaminants than countertop models, because the water forced through them is pressurized-as opposed to water that is poured through a filter in a pitcher.

Shave off 10 years

|

May 28, 2010

Cheat with cheap and chick makeup tricks. Lighten your strands. Your hair color tends to darken as you age, throwing your face into unflattering shadow. Tweak your base color by a few shades and consider adding highlights to brighten your complexion and add a soft, flattering halo around your face.
Prime before primping. Before applying makeup, smooth on a silicone-based primer. It minimizes pores and fills in fine lines and wrinkles so your makeup doesn't settle in nooks and crannies.
Slice in bangs. A face-framing fringe always draws attention away from crow's-feet and hides a furrowed forehead or a receding hairline. Opt for sideswept bangs or long, thick, straight ones. Avoid anything too short or severe.
Prevent feathered lips. Before swiping on lipstick, trace and fill in mouth with a liner to lock color into place. Rub the tip between index finger and thumb to help it glide more easily.

Supplement Spotlight: Kefir

|

May 27, 2010

Sample this incredible superfood A probiotic long before probiotic was a buzzword, kefir is a tangy fermented milk drink that is packed with healthy bacteria. It costs less per serving than individually packaged probiotic drinks on the market.

Try: Sipping it like you would a smoothie; it comes in flavors such as raspberry and pomegranate.

Why Beets May Beat Psoriasis

|

May 26, 2010

Juice therapy is believed to clear up this skin condition "Many people with psoriasis have congestion in the bowels and liver," says Cherie Calbom, MS, a certified nutritionist in Kirkland, Washington, and coauthor of Juicing for Life. "A high-fiber diet will absorb toxins in the gut, and beet juice is wonderful to help detoxify the liver."

Because beets have a strong flavor, she suggests blending beet juice with carrot juice and lemon. "One beet to four carrots (add one-fourth of a lemon to improve the flavor) is an ideal proportion," according to Calbom. She recommends drinking one glass of the beet juice every day.

    Get a Green Anti-Aging Routine

    |

    May 24, 2010

Look younger and protect the planet with these 4 ideas

Who knew that lessening your footprint on the Earth is also good for your skin? "Increased amounts of smog, pollutants, and free radicals can prematurely age your complexion," says David Goldberg, MD, a clinical professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Here, simple and smart ways you can make your look-younger routine even greener:

    1. Take shorter showers The average lasts 8 minutes and uses about 17 gallons of water. Cutting yours by 3 minutes conserves at least 6 gallons of H2O and keeps your skin from drying out.

    2. Buy jumbo sizes Purchase products in bulk, which produces 10% less waste, according to The Green Book.

    3. Pick eco-friendly finds Choose brands with recyclable, biodegradable, or minimal packaging. Try Physicians Formula Organic Wear and Smashbox Cosmetics Green Room Collection, with compacts and lipstick tubes that are embedded with seeds-once planted, they sprout flowers.

    4. Air-dry your hair "Reducing drying time by even 5 minutes a day saves almost 45 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions each year," says green living expert Sara Snow.

8: Gallons of water conserved each day by turning off the tap while washing your face

    |
Try going green to increase your youthful glow: Take shorter, cooler showers: According to the Department of Energy, water heating accounts for 25% of your home's energy consumption. Youth booster: Lukewarm temps keep skin from drying out.

Use organic cotton pads: One-quarter of insecticide use is linked to conventional cotton growth. Toss a Skin-Saving Salad

    |

    May 22, 2010

A recent study from the University of Queensland in Australia found that people who ate the most vegetables, particularly leafy green vegetables, had a reduced risk of squamous cell carcinoma-a common type of skin cancer typically found on the face, ears, neck, and hands. The folate found in leafy vegetables also helps make new skin cells, which keeps your complexion looking fresh. For a skin cancer-preventing seasonal salad, pick up some spinach, mustard greens, or kale. Chop and toss with winter fruits like roasted pink grapefruit, blood oranges, sliced apples, or pomegranate seeds. Add beans or nuts for a plant-based protein boost. And top with avocado for healthy fats that help skin glow.

Speak Your Mind, Save Your Life

    |

    May 21, 2010

Bottling up your feelings won't help you live longer. Keeping the peace at home could leave you fighting for your life-and losing.

"Women who put a cap on their feelings during arguments with their spouses have a fourfold higher death rate from all causes than women who express their feelings during conflict," reports epidemiologist Elaine D. Eaker, ScD, who tracked the health of 1,501 married women for a decade.

    Eaker, president of Eaker Epidemiology

Enterprises in Chili, WI, isn't sure why repressing these feelings can prove deadly. But there is a fix. Start by telling your husband what you've been holding back. Individual or marriage counseling can help. "It's not that these women are timid. They're trying to preserve a relationship, but they aren't preserving their lives," says Eaker.

    The Indirect Route

    |

    May 20, 2010

You should grill ribs, roasts and other large cuts of meat over indirect heat, not directly above a flame or hot coals. The longer cooking time allows meat to get tender and absorb smoke flavor, especially if you use wood chips.

For a gas grill: Preheat with all the burners on high, then turn one or two off and lower the others to medium low. Position meat so it is not over the flaming burners.

For a charcoal grill: Pile briquettes 2 or 3 deep on one side of the grill and ignite. When briquettes are ready, position the mean on the side of the grill opposite the coals. Keep your chimney starter handy so you can add more briquettes as needed to maintain the temperature.

    Diabetics: Weight Loss Efforts Count

    |

    May 16, 2010

Doesn't matter if you drop the pounds, it's the thought that counts Overweight people with type 2 diabetes hear the message over and over again: Achieve weight loss. But a 2004 study tracking 1,401 diabetics for 9 years adds an encouraging aside: Simply trying to shed pounds could cut type 2 diabetes-related death risk 20 to 30 percent.

In fact, researchers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that death rates were the same for successful and unsuccessful weight loss dieters.

Lead researcher Edward W. Gregg, PhD, speculates that dieters may have adopted healthier weight loss habits-eating more produce and getting more exercise-which have long-lasting diabetes benefits regardless of body weight.

When it's Okay to Lie to Your Kids

    |

    May 13, 2010

How to convince your kids to eat their veggies You can get your grown children to eat healthier-just tell them they did so when they were young! Psychologists at the University of California, Irvine, convinced several dozen college students that they liked to eat asparagus when they were in their childhood-even if it wasn't remotely true. That "news" made most of the students more willing to buy, eat, and enjoy the healthy veggie in the future.

    How Safe Are the Drugs?

    |

    May 12, 2010

Do the bone protecting drugs have the opposite effect on some? Recently, 25 patients taking bisphosphonates, drugs widely used to treat osteoporosis, reported unexplained leg fractures. Experts aren't sure why bone protecting drugs might have the opposite effect on some, but the number of these cases is tiny, compared with the millions who are safely taking the meds. An even more important number: Within a year of a hip fracture—often caused by osteoporosis—17% of patients die. Women who need the drugs shouldn't be scared away.

    An Unsanitary Squeeze

    |

    May 11, 2010

New studies show restaurant lemons may carry bacteria Next time you order iced tea, tell your server to hold the lemon. A recent study found that nearly 70% of restaurant lemon slices were soured by bacteria from saliva, skin, even feces. The fruits's natural antibacterial properties didn't hinder the germs, which may have come from unwashed hands, uncovered coughs and sneezes, and contaminated cutting boards and utensils. Instead of ordering drinks with a twist, keep packets of lemon juice or True Lemon crystallized lemon (truelemon.com) in your purse to spruce up restaurant beverages.
